Order planning + Purchase planning

Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me. We use the procurement commitment in order entry to determine the earliest possible delivery date. Our products are often manufactured and purchased 1:1 from a supplier. These suppliers have fixed delivery days - e.g. Monday and Wednesday every week.
The following works: We can calculate the correct delivery date for the products in the order. The orders are then released. In the next step, the buyer plans the requirements in the planning worksheet and triggers the orders.
This is where the problem begins: the due date of the purchase order is always the delivery date of the sales order. There is no way to purchase products in the order reference as quickly as possible and leave them in stock, is there? Business Central always goes as close as possible to the due date of the sales order. Due to the supplier's fixed delivery days, in some cases even ‘after’ the planned goods issue date.
Do you have any idea how we can configure this in the standard system?
I have tried it with vendor calendars, different procurement times... Without success.

Thank you!
Tim

Hi there & good morning/evening/afternoon depending on where you are :)
    hope you are well.

apologies if you've tried these already, here are some suggestions:
    - planning parameter adjustments in the planning worksheet to consider the fixed delivery days (includes setting up the reorder cycle and lead time calculation to align with the supplier's delivery sschedule)
    - add a safety lead time to the items or vendors to account for the fixed delivery days (this ensures the purchase orders are placed EARLIER allowing for the items to be received and available in stock before the sales order due date hits)
    - utilizing the order promising functionality in BC may also help - calculating the earliest possible deliver date based on the supplier's fixed deliver days) will help in planning POs more accurately
    - as always, custom development can be completed to achieve functionality desired if the above isn't working for your needs

    hope this helps some!
