Campaigns on behalf of someone other than yourself

Hi All,

I have created a campaign and would now like to distribute sales literature via email.
If I do this as myself it works without any problem, after 5 minutes I see the emails appear in my outbox before going into my sent items.

BUT, if I try and do this on behalf of another person, nothing comes through.

This is an on premise 2013 install and I have set the 'send on behalf' permission for myself on the other persons mailbox but still the problem persists.  If I check the system jobs, it shows the process have been completed successfully and no errors are showing.

Could someone advise on the pre-requisites for sending on behalf of another person to include?

It would also be useful to understand whether the person I am sending on behalf of should see emails in the 'sent items' locally or whether they will go from my mailbox.

Thank you for your help

    H Wayne,

In CRM, a user has to permit emails to be sent on their behalf. This setting is in the Personal Options of the select user. If you have to enable this setting for a lot of users then you can use an solution in codeplex called "UserSettingsUtility"

    crm2011usersettings.codeplex.com/wikipage

After this, check the Security Rule if he can send emails,an for last check if "Email is approved"

    Thanks for reply Hugo.

When you say 'this setting is in the personal options of the select user', do you mean within Settings>Users>Username ?  Some of my options are greyed out in this area.

Could I trouble you to direct me to the exact setting to which you refer?

I am hoping that it is something very silly I have missed.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Wayne,

Basically you need to login with the user login, and then go to the setting and do the same thing you have done to yourself. If you dont know or the user can`t to this by himself, you could use the solution i have put the link so you can edit the users preferences. This option is personal to the user therefore you need to login with the user account.
