Slow build process with a big AL extension

We have migrated our WMS which was written in NAV2009 C/AL to an AL extension which is completely independent from the Microsoft Base app.

No we have ended up with +/- 6 000 al files and the build process is very slow (+/- 3 minutes)

Is there a way to speed this up?

Is it also logical that with every piece of code you change you have to build the app again before you can test it?

Is Microsoft in the future changing some stuff in this build process to speed this up or are there no intentions to do this?

    best you scale up your server hardware, but 6000 al files in 3 min. is not so bad.

    best would be to refactor the business processes and the al files to shorten the code.

    6000 al files is a lot. You can review the code. You may find a lot of code is no longer necessary.

    Another way is to split it into multiple extension.
