Hi Everyone,

I try to do Assisted Setup for Dynamics 365 Sales Integration Setup on Business Central SaaS version 24.5.23489.25631 but it keeps getting error:

The user I use is have SUPER permission on BC and System Administrator on Power Platform side. I also already success setup the connection to Dataverse from BC.
Any insights you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi Khushbu and Valentin,

Thanks for your reply. After checking the link you all provided, it seems to setup connection with Dynamics 365 Sales need Business Central Essential / Premium license? Currently, the user I use for setup is using Dynamics 365 Business Central for IWs license.

Yes, for integration between Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales, a Business Central Essentials or Premium license is required. The Dynamics 365 Business Central for IWs license lacks the full functionality needed for setup and connection to Dataverse and Dynamics 365 Sales. Switching to an Essentials or Premium license should resolve the setup limitation you're experiencing.

    Hi Khushbu,

I already switch the license to Business Central Essential, however I still got the same error. Any idea about that?

Have you upgraded this from BC16? if yes then follow the link which is showing in the message.

it seems integration solution failed. this is the real cause that why you r administration does not have specific permission.

I have tested it in the trial version and it can link to D365 sales.
Have you ensured that the D365 Sales end can be accessed normally? Is there only a BC license, not a Sales license?
    More details:

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Khushbu,

Nope, this totally new setup on new solution. Anyway, thanks for your help, now the setup is work well. Previously I missed the D365 sales license.

    Hi Yun Zhu,

Yes, the D365 Sales can be accessed, I just missed to assign the D365 Sales license to that user.
