Hi,

A customer has installed Office 365 subscription version of Office 2013 32 bit on a Win 7 x64 computer with GP 2010. When exporting from smartlist the user gets 'Unable to Start Excel' message and of course no data is sent to Excel. Another user has the same setup but can export. I have seen posts in which people have said that any Click-to-Run version of Office (not installed using msi which is the case for this customer) would not work. It does work for one user at the customer's site but not another as mentioned. Does anyone have any experience with this issues and resolving the problem?

Have you tried just uninstalling/reinstalling Office?

The tool didn't find anything to remove. Still having the problem.

Have you tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling it? Is this a 64-bit version of Office or 32-bit? I have seen this happen when there has been multiple version of Office installed at one point and the prior install didn't clean up correctly. You could run this tool on that machine to see if there are left over registry that could be causing this.
