Hello fellow Dynamics GP users.
I am currently customizing the Picking tickets for the company that i work for. My current situation is in our test company, we have the original Report and the Modified version of the report. which will run for different users based on their user security settings.
Originally i had created a template based on the Original report, however i quickly realized that some fields are missing are are not in the correct sections. I then created a template based on the Modified Report, I followed the standard steps where you run the "Standard"report to get the XML and reload it to the Word Template so that it is up to date.
In Template maintenance for the "Original" report i have assigned it to the Development Company as Default.
For the "Modified" report I have also assigned it to the same Development Company but NOT as default.
Now my Questions/ Problems are
1. When printing a picking ticket for an order using the "Sales Transaction Entry" window for some reason it doesn't just print the one document, it prints out Picking Tickets for other Order. The weird thing is, is that orders are all in different batches. This happens on the Standard and Template reports for both then Original and Modified reports. I have had a look at the XML that it produces and even in there I can see multiple Order Number.
2. In Template Maintenance is it okay for both templates to be set as "Default" for the same company. When i run the template for the "Modified" report the Print Destination is already on "Template" which is not what i would expect if it is not default.
