Hi Everyone

I have downloaded and imported the solution for Ribbon workbench.
I have created a button but dont know how to attach a workflow to a button without code.

I have viewed the instructions in the site below but they didnt make much sense.

ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../132235-create-a-workflow-short-cut-ribbon-button-no-code

Can someone please provide me with more comprehensive instructions or a magic video that can walk me through this?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you

E

this may be dumb but i dont understand the beginning of the instructions

// should I just copy the URL for my workflow from my solution?

Open the Process Centre Workflow in the designer and press 'F11' to show the address bar - then copy the URL.

    It should look something like:

    http://<Server>/<OrgName>/sfa/workflow/edit.aspx?id=%7b<WorkflowID>%7d

// How do i extract the workflow ID?

Extract the Workflow ID from the url and save for later.

Ok, Assuming you have your workflow ready with you, so when you are in workflow designer window press F11, it will show address bar copy complete address and paste it so some text editor, then you need to copy , for example below is the workflow URL, so you need to copy id part, in below url it is ("15462A54-1620-42B5-A100-55FAA4A594A0")

    orgname.crm5.dynamics.com/.../edit.aspx

I wrote this article and so I am sorry if it didn't make sense - one additional note is that if you are using CRM2015 Update1 you must replace RibbonActions.js with CommandBarActions.js

I will update the article based on your feedback!

    Hi Scott,

Thank you for your quick reply. Your article is amazing. It is my lack of technical Knowledge that prevented me from following the steps properly. I did however manage to follow the instructions and I was successful except publishing took forever and my system stopped.

Thank you for providing the community with instructions of how to do this without code :)

    Hi ,

Could you please update your following article https://ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/132235-create-a-workflow-short-cut-ribbon-button-no-code with the correct js library for subgrid button ($webresource:Sales/_static/_common/scripts/CommandBarActions.js)

Although the article is very helpful, having the right information could have saved me some time ;) May thanks!
