Two Factor Authentication and Consultants

Currently, we mandate that our employees 2-factor authenticate to access our D365 F&O environments. However, we have consultants that access our environments via their work domain and we do not know how to mandate 2-factor authentication with them. Does anyone know how we can force 2- factors on outside domain users that have access? How do you set up your consultants so they can easily access, while still being secure?

Two Factor Authentication is an AD security feature. Typically, we create external users in our AD to control their accounts and authentication factors.
