POAmt vs. POItemTotal

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Does anyone know the difference between these two fields in the PurchOrd table?  POAmt is the "total PO amount" which seems quite obvious.  But, according to help, the POItemTotal is "Item Total" which doesn't really explain that why at several site the amount is always zero.  It would seem that this would be the sum of the records in the PurOrdDet table, but it is not.  The Demo DB does have some amounts in the POItemTotal, but I am unable to detect what is different about the POs that do have an amount and those that do not.

So, does anyone know how POItemTotal gets populated?

Thanks,

Todd
