Hi, what will be the impact if the beginning balances are loaded in dynamics gp system later than the go live date? meaning, the users already transacted at different modules despite the fact that beginning balances aren't yet posted in GP, particularly the FA beginning balance. Your response will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, thank you for your response. What if the FA beginning balances is yet to be uploaded soon, is it possible for us to tag the item purchased as a capital item? wont there be any effect once be load the beginning balances on the system? or we cant totally transact items relating to Fixed assets? thanks!

Hello,

Let's go step by step and address first FA.

1. if FA- Assets opening balance is not available how depreciation will run? It will be wrong - Let see what other blogger says.

2. I will be not worry for all other core module like, AR, AP & GL as you can enter Begnining Balance anytime. Only on payment you won't see those open invoices.

3. Inventory - I will try to put opening balance as we need to use it in Sales otherwise COGS will go wrong.
