CRM 2013 sub grid scroll bar not showing

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

At 2011 we were making use of a vertical scrollbar on sub grids which can be enabled through the combination of sub grid properties as described in this link  http://www.magnetismsolutions.com/blog/paul-nieuwelaars-blog/2012/05/17/dynamics_crm_2011_sub_grids_with_more_rows_and_scroll_bar

We have upgraded to 2013 and I am unable to get the scrollbar to appear. The grid displays the first 6 rows and at the bottom shows 1-22 of 22 as it did at 2011 but no scroll bar. The only way to look through the rows is to select the gird and use the down arrow key.

Has anyone experienced this issue ?

Does anyone have a fix or workaround ?

    Hi Caffrey,

    Have you update rollup 3?

Thanks Rajkumar for the quick response.  We were at SP1 rollup 1.  I upgraded to rollup 3 yesterday but the issue remains.

    Hi Rajkumar,

I have done that and cleared the browser cache but the issue still persists.

    Hi Caffreybcc,

I do not think this is an issue as it is by design. Having the scrollbar on the grid with paging enabled does not make a lot of sense.

We already have a functionality of specifying the no. of record to be visible on grid.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks!

    Vineet.

    Hi Vineet,

Thanks for responding.  I think it does have its place. If you have restricted screen space (maybe enough room for 10 rows) but want the ability for the user to scroll without paging (20 rows scrollable) then it's a good option.

As it was a feature in 2011. There is still a div with a class ms-crm-List-DataArea-ex which has an attribute maxrowsbeforescroll which is set to the number of rows displayable for the grid.

Please could you get confirmation if this is a bug in 2013 or if the feature has been removed.

I have worked out that by finding the div with class ms-crm-List-DataArea-ex and changing the inline style attribute -ms-overflow-y:hidden to -ms-overflow-y:auto the vertical scrollbar is displayed and is fully functional.

This looks like a bug in CRM 2013. How do I get this acknowledged by Microsoft and fixed ?

I am having the same issue 2013, SP1 RU4 and only able to see a few records.  The scroll bar actually decreases in size as it scrolls down.  But when I reach the "end" it doesn't show all records and no option for the next page.  @Caffreybcc how/where did you find this option?

    Vineet,

I agree, however, the scroll bar is not working properly and that should be reported.  If the scroll would scroll through all records it is not necessary to page through records.  I am only see about 20 records and no more.

Any assistance and follow up on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Jessica
