Quick Create Form Save Error

Hi all,

I have a sub-grid and quick create form of the sub-grid's entity. I can bring up the overlay quick create form in current form from the +button. I can save in the quick create form, but I keep getting "An error has occurred. Please return to the home page and try again", however the record is created and showed in the sub-grid.

How do I trouble shoot this kind of issue? I'm very new to the CRM technology

Thanks for the response.

In my case, it is the caching issue. I cleared the browser history, and it works like a charm.

Hi,

You could enable tracing for dynamics CRM on-premise.

Do u have a Business Rule with Scope set to 'Entity'? That might be causing the problem. Also, check if there's a workflow on creation of this entity

Hi,

If you're running CRM On Prem, you should enable the CRM Tracing Tool just before you save, save the record, then disable it again immediately. It will log everything that's happening on the server and you'll be able to look for exceptions there.

This is one version of the tool that people like to use: crmdiagtool2011.codeplex.com
