MR 2.0 still looking at GP on old server after move

We have moved GP and MR to a new server for a customer. They both still reside on the old server which is accessible. The data source name was changed in the web.config file in the application service folder and in the MRProcessService.exe.config file in the process service folder. However when we run a report, it is showing old data from before the move of GP to the new server. We have put the company database on the old server into restricted user mode to test the connection. With the DB in restricted user mode, MR fails to run. If we put the DB back into multi-user mode, MR runs. Even though the config files are pointing to the new server, MR is looking for the data on the old server. The exact version of MR is 2.0.1700.66.

Any help is appreciated.

Bill

    Hi Ian,

That was it. This was driving us crazy. The person who move GP and MR followed the Ho to Move MR document and changed the config files however that document does not mention the entries in this table.

    Thank-you very much,

    Bill

    Hi Bill,

Can you use SQL Server Management Studio to take a look at the ControlCompany table and check the value for SQL Server in the the GLEntityConnectionInformation.

It is a long string, but will contain something like the below near the middle:
    <EntitySetting Name="SQL Server"><Value xsi:type="xsd:string">SQL1\GP</Value></EntitySetting>
