Unable debug plugin due DLL merge using ILRepack

Posted on by 520

Hi Folks,

We are using ILRepack for merging common libraries into the plugin and custom workflow.

The system is working fine without any issue, But when it comes to debugging through plugin profile then it doesn't debug.

I can see the only DLL is merging but seems PDB file is not merging to a main plugin PDB file.

When I try to debug from profiler debugger points are not hitting and PDB file issue,

Below is profile log file and it executed without any error.

Any help or clue to merge PDB file appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

In the ILRepack.Lib.MSBuild.Task set DebugInfo to true to create a pdb file with the output file.

    Thanks Joana for your reply.

No for debugging we need to merge.

The problem get solved by merging the PDB file of the latest version of ILRepack.Lib.MSBuild.Task(2.0.17)

    Hi,

I think you don't need to merge any PDB file. I think you need to have the PDB file from your merged DLL on the same folder of your main DLL (the one you are debugging).
