     Hi,

Econnect is the best integration tool for .net application. Using this you insert and retrieve  data from GP.

     hari,

First you need to install eConnect. Then you can get the .Net Objects in eConnect installation folder.

add that dll to your .Net application. And refer the programmers guide for how to write the .net code for econnect.

Also sample application and help files also available in installation folder.

    Regards

    Jeganeedhi

    Hari,

Install eConnect in ur machine. No need to install GP in your system. Otherwise copy dll from that vpc to your machine.

    And add the reference.

    Thanks Jagan,

I started writing code for econnect..But an exception arises in the following line

    eConnectMethods eConnectObject = new eConnectMethods();

The exception is " you must have administrative credentials to perform this task"..Why this happen?

    Hari/Joseph,

First check your service for eConnect (in and out) is running or not. Second please add "windows" user account in SQL and assign Dynamics and production DB company and check eConnect application is working for you or not.

I will recommend to go for Dynamics GP Webservice cause eConnect you have to install on each client machine who is going to use your eConnect application where as maintaining Webservice and user account is very easy in Dynamics GP web service.

    Thanks

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: How To Connect To GP

    Thanks for your quick response!

I am using the .Net eConnect dll in a Windows Form application.  I have no problem using it logged on as an admin.  The problem occurs when a domain user is logged on.

The admin account is not in the database.  I believe the issue resides in the DTC settings.  I will continue to research.   Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
