Can't access classic form editor, advanced settings and advanced find : redirected to Apps list instead

Hello,

I have two CDS environment :

- one for production (with a UCI app and a legacy app, the update to UCI isn't done yet)

- one for development and tests (updated to UCI)

I have no problem accessing classic form editor, advanced settings and advanced find from the UCI app in production.

But I can't access them from my UCI app in my development environment : I'm always redirected to the apps list :

Right now, I'm trying to make a subgrid editable, and I can't add the "editable" control with the UCI form editor. So I need the classic editor, but I can't access it in my development environment (but I did it in my production environment flawlessly).

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

    Hi David,

Can you detail how you're trying to access the legacy settings?

    Are you using this?

How did you access advanced settings and advanced find from your UCI app in my development environment?

If you click the "Advanced Settings" in the menu as highlighted in the screenshot below, you will be redirected to the classic Settings area (https://<EnvironmentHostName>/main.aspx?settingsonly=true) where you can open the classic solution explorer and classic form editor.

    That's exactly what I'm doing.

In my production environment, I get access to the old settings. That's what I'm expecting.

But in my development environment, I'm redirected to : https://<EnvironmentHostName>/main.aspx?isappmoderedirect=true&forceUCI=1&pagetype=apps. In fact, https://<EnvironmentHostName>/main.aspx?settingsonly=true redirect me after a few second.

    That's odd.

I would suggest to open a support request here to get to the bottom of it: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support

Also, I advise that you use https://make.powerapps.com for your customizations.
If an option is missing from the UI, you can always click on "Switch to legacy" to display the legacy form editor, view editor, etc.

    I'll do it next week.

Unfortunatly, this odd behaviour is also true for "Switch to legacy". It seems that everything that isn't UCI is redirected to the app list.

The support did resolve my issue.

For other that may encounter the same issue, here is what they told me to do :

    • Log into your environments Power Platform Admin Center.
    • Select the affected sandbox environment and click SETTINGS.
    • Click the drop down arrow besides Product
    • Click Behavior
    • Finally toggle off the button OPEN IN APPLICATION MODE :
    • open_5F00_in_5F00_app_5F00_mode.png

Thank you for your help !
