Steps to enable Bin Mandatory and Pick list/Putways when location already used

Hi All

We ant to enable Bin Mandatory and Pick/Putaway (no directed putaway and pick). Since we have transactions and open SO/PO what is the best approach? has anyone done this and what are the pitfalls and recommendations?

    That is not an easy task as long as you have any inventory (open item ledger entries) on the location that you want to activate this on.

    So there are a lot of pitfalls here. If you are working together with your partner to achieve this they can probably give you a more precise recommendation valid for your your business and for your current situation.

    If I was to give you a supported way that you can handle yourself that would be to create a new location, configure the warehouse processes for that location as you want them to operate. Then I would transfer all my inventory from the none bin location to my newly created location.

    That should work but will require some work on your hand with configuration and doing the inventory transfer in the system.

    But again - I think you are better of involving a partner that can advice and assist you here.
