Command bar go missing

Hello All,

I have a massive problem after our CRM upgrade.

We recently upgraded our on-prem MS CRM Dynamics instance from CRM 2016 to 2016 2.2(Dynamics 365). We deployed IFD with this upgrade as well.

Our users now have a very weird issue. They are using Internet Explorer to access and navigate CRM. Randomly, across many different users, on many different PCs, the user will lose Command bar in their browser not allowing them to save, save/close, etc. We go into their IE browser, uncheck the "Preserve Favorites website data" and check all other boxes to clear their cache. After that, they close their browser and can get back in and see the command bar. This issue can then randomly return to a user we had previously cleared the cache for, or a whole different user.

This has caused major issues for our user community. We need a fix but cant come up with anything. Because it is resolved temporarily by clearing the local cache on the PC, I don't think it is a server side issue. But it doesn't affect all users at the same time and is completely random. Our team is stuck on it.

Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts? Desperate for a full solution.

Please open the developer tools in IE with F12.

Are there some error messages displayed?

Is your CRM system tracing running? Please check for error messages in the log files.

    Karsten,

Yes, we have reviewed the solutions you have provided but unfortunately they did not resolve our issue.

    Hello Syed,

We receive the same results. Clearing cache does not always resolve the issue, just some times. We uncheck "Preserve favorites website data" and check everything else. We then have to send the user the URL and add "cmdbar=true" to the end of it to get the commands to show. They are fine for a while but it has come back to the users we had cleared the cache for previously.

We also do not see this issue in Chrome, but have had other issues with Chrome so we tell our user community to stay with IE.

    Hi all,

We're facing similar issue on D365 online project. My client using single-sign-on and don't use "xxx@onmicrosoft.com" account, using their "xxx@customer.com" account to login.

For now we don't find any solution for this, sometimes save/save and close buttons not working correctly, however CTRL+S (on form) or small save button (right bottom corner of form) working at same time.

    Hi ,

We had faces the similar issue it's only because of the cache.  Clearly there is no other reason. We have tried all the way, only way is to keep clear the cookies and cache. I dnt think is any other way.Better use chrome ,in chrome there is no issue

    Hope this helps
