How to not publish a privilege edited by mistake and delete the same
Just to add to this discussion, I wrote about why there isn't an 'Undo' button in the Unpublished Objects area of D365FO: alexdmeyer.com/.../
Hi Andre,
Thank you for the update. I did export from production environment and restored it on the non production environment to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your help.
Hi CA Binit,
There is no undo action possible; the changes are directly stored in the database. To be able to revert the changes, you can import a security configuration file from the last time (if you have it).
Usually, you will make configuration changes in a non-production environment and use export/import to move the changes. If you have the file from the last time, you can revert this privilege change, but as downside also all other changes you made in between will be reverted as part of this import.
You can then potentially use data management for moving the security changes, like I explained recently on my blog: dynamicspedia.com/.../
You can edit the exported files before doing the import. Then you can import e.g. only one privilege.
If you know what changes you did, you can also manually revert it and then publish to get rid of the pending change.
