I created a new form. I want to create a lookup that looks up data from a table that was extended from AOT. If  I click on the product name it should be able to display the products from the InventoryJournalTable. Instead it throws up error that "This control cannot open a lookup form in its current context due to insufficient metadata".

    Hello Mohit,

In this case, I am trying to create a user form that will have a lookup to display released products from InventTable. Is that also applicable to my case?

    Hello Komi,

I referenced InventJournalTrans, because it the table I have that has field I want pull. If I am to replace it InventTable, should I also write a method for it?

    Hello ccobasi,

Why should the item be pulled from InventJournalTrans ?

InventJournalTrans is related to InventJournalTable which is populated on a Movement journal.

During a store request, users should be looking out for released products which you have in the InventTable. Once, you pick the Item Id , the product name can be return on a the modified() method. Also, I expect users to select the site and warehouse.

The store request document would be used to auto create and post an inventory movement journal upon approval.

Yes, the form is used to raise a store request. The product name is supposed to be pulled from the InventJournalTrans Table automatically. And posted to Inventory Movement Journal.

Hi ccobasi, The relation is wrong, ItemId and productId fields are different. You have to create a lookup method to display product names.

    Hello ccobasi,

From your custom table name Requisition, I am guessing that, user should be able to raise a store request and specify the product needed. If that's right, your lookup should be into InventTable instead of InventJournalTrans.

If my assumption are incorrect, please tell us the business login behind this form.

    Hello,

Can you show us the relationship between your custom table and InventoryJournalTable?
