We have 20 workstations in GP. We are having an issue on one of the workstations where the home page does not appear. The title bar is also missing, so we're unable to get into 'Customize this page...'. The Navigation Pane displays without issue. The only thing that appears in the Home Page area is a small black box in the top left corner.
This happens for all users on this one workstation.

I'm curious if this one workstation is a Windows 10 machine?
The reason I ask is that we've seen a couple of cases that mentioned a small black box in the top left corner of the Home Page where the navigation lists should be, and it seems related to the CU update passed down for Windows 10, but we haven't completely proven that as we couldn't re-create it on our side.

I am not sure if this will help but you can give it a go:
On the machine where you have this issue, find and rename the Data folder e.g. D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2015\Data to something like Data_Bakup and copy the Data folder from another machine that works ok.

Something is wrong with the way the GP client is installed on this computer..
Try remove and re-install it first and see if this fixes it. Pay attention on how the client is launched.. in many cases, your GP client needs to be run in 'Admin' mode, otherwise some UAC securities may prevent it to run properly.
PS: do you use a deployment package for the GP client to ensure all clients are setup equal ? or do you install it manually for each workstation ?
