When closing exchange rate type be used

By default, there is a closing exchange rate type in AX 2012 R3, when it gonna be used?

Is there any parameter that already link to the closing rate type by default?

    Hi Mc.LF,

    What do you mean exactly?

    Do you refer to the available exchange rate types?

    The ones that will be used in your system can be found in the ledger form in GL.

    That is, you have one exchange rate type that is used for translations of your current transactions and you can setup a second one for translation of budget data.

    All other types won't be used to my knowledge in business processes.

    Perhaps I can add to Ludwigs reply, that on each main account on the fast tab Financial reporting you can select different exchange rate types and different Currency translation type when you use Management reporter / Financial reports to generate reports.
