Not seeing Close Case in Ribbon Workbench

Hi all,

I need to add a custom JavaScript command to the Close Case button, but can't see it anywhere in Ribbon Workbench - can anyone advise as to why this may be? I've hidden a few of the other buttons and created a new one but cannot find Close Case anywhere.

Thanks,

Matt

    Hi Matt,

You have to Resolve Case or Cancel Case. You can create a custom button.

Please refer the link below for sample code.

    Thanks guys,

I thought as Pankaj has said that by default you had to either Resolve or Cancel, but OOB I could only see the Close Case button on the form, despite seeing Resolve Case and Cancel Case in Ribbon Workbench. The Cancel Case button you see here is a custom one I created which is fine, but I still need a way to either edit or hide the Close Case button.

I also checked the RibbonXml but can't see anything that helped :/

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your responses, I have now resolved this. By using the Command Checker (super useful tool!) I was able to track the source of the button down to the Customer Service Team Member managed solution. I simply deleted the solution and the command bar is back to normal.

    Thanks

    Matt

For anybody else needing help with this, we needed to have the Customer Service Team Member app installed, so uninstalling it was not an option.  Although you cannot see this button in the Ribbon Workbench, you can still create a custom command with the same Id (Mscrm.IncidentClose), which we found using the "Command Checker" tool, thanks for that tip!  You can then add Display/Enable rules to that command.  Our goal was to hide this button in the "Customer Service Team Members" app and use our own custom Resolve case button, and this worked perfectly.

Thanks PaladinMattt, this is very useful.

Where did you add the Display/Enable rules for that command?

Is it possible to show the OOB Resolve Case item using the same rules?
