India GST - Service Credit Memo for a posted service Invoice where Customer State is different from Ship-To State

  1. User has posted service invoice with GST dependency = Ship-To. In the user scenario, customer default state = UK and ship to state = HR.
  2. User has selected Ship-To code of customer on the Service Order form, before posting
  3. On the service credit memo form, customer does not have field for selection of Ship-To code
  4. As a solution partner, when we investigated the issue,
    1. We noticed that in standard solution, Ship-To code is set to Visible = NO
    2. The “Call Tax Engine” on service line is missing for service credit memo
    3. With the incomplete use cases, the update invoice reference no. is a hindrance rather than a compliance.
  5. Update Reference Invoice no. is a poorly built validation since all scenarios are not covered and validation creates unnecessary hurdles.

  • How to handle scenario where Service Invoice is posted to GST Ship To location which is in different State than the customer default address?.

    Hi,

Ship-To code field's visibility defined by the filed "Ship-To" when you select the option either three of one.

Hello Nitin, thank you for your response. However I do not see any such field on Service Credit Memo. Plus its not just a field that I expect, the India GST should work based on the Ship-To code

    Hi,

Please raise the ticket to Microsoft Support Center.
