Stopping email sendout: hard stopping queued/pending emails in Outbound Marketing

Hi all,
I had the pleasure today to do a big mistake in our test environment to send my test email to ALL our test DB (we have some real data we used to test data import) when I realised it, it was 2 min I had pressed /go live/ on my journey.

I stopped EVERYTHING in a matter of a minute: journey, segment, email. Yet the system kept processing and sending out emails for the following 2 hours. The only way we found out to stop sending the email was to unsubscribe massively ALL our DB  and removing the domain authentification.
Yet it sent the email to +2,5K email addresses (got support from our system admin to do it with an SQL4 plugin, cuz the data upload was very slow) when I realised my mistake the UI showed only 80. This quite nerve wrecking.

Hence my question: where can you find a /STOP///CANCEL/ button anywhere in Dynamics when in sheer need of hard stopping any queued email? Even if only available to the system admin.

We have processes to avoid these mistakes and yet I did the mistake, I owe it but would like to know if there is anyway to shortcut pending emails (or see where/how many actuall emails have been sent out vs what shows the UI).

We have had also a user who stopped an email (journey live, email in the journey and stopped the previously live email) and yet the email was sent out.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Based on the information you've provided, our team believes there are the following possibilities that could cause you to keep sending emails even after you've stopped the customer journey.

One possibility is that the email was scheduled to be sent before the journey was stopped. Once the email is scheduled to be sent, it will be sent even if the journey is stopped. Another possibility is that there is another active journey or process that is sending emails. It is also possible that a technical issue or error caused the email to continue to be sent. You can check to examine the email delivery logs to further determine the cause of the issue.

Additionally, we were unable to find the button you mentioned or a similar function in the environment. If you believe that the feature you are requesting is essential, you can submit your idea to Microsoft using the link below.

I hope my answer is helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.
