Retrieving latest activity on case into email trigger workflow

Hi,

I am wanting to trigger an email when a case is assigned to a user. This email should contain details of the case as well as the last custom activity added to the case before the assignment. Though the custom activity entity is related to the case entity, i cannot find this activity in the workflow based on the case entity.

Can someone help me with how best to approach this?
