Im trying to decide if one or the other reporting solutions is what we want to use
SSRS against the cubes -or- Excel Pivot table reports (done from GP)
Can I schedule the creation and publishing of Pivot table reports to a network share, or is this a manual (on demand) feature?

I have the same question (0)I found my answer - this is handled with the report scheduler.
