sub-grid in CRM

Hello good evening

As you could disable this sub-grid that has been inserted so that it only fulfills the function of listing records, I do not want a user to be able to add more item (I do not want to use JavaScript)

I was reviewing that there is an EDITABLE GRID control that you can do that apparently but I did not manage to find that option (editable grid)

You have to design your security role as per your requirement.

You have to set privilege none on Create, Update and Append.

    Hi Angel,

As Ben mentioned, looks like you just need permissions for the entity.  Lets say the sub grid displays Contact records related to an Account record.  You need to ensure the user is not allowed to create\update a Contact record; it will mean that the + button will not be available to the user and the list in the grid will be read only.

Have a look at docs.microsoft.com/.../security-roles-privileges to understand how permissions in CRM work, and then at crmbook.powerobjects.com/.../security-roles to get step by step details of how to get it done in CRM.

    Good luck!

    Hi partner,

Do you mean that you want to disable or hide the +New button of the subgrid?

If so, then the most appropriate way is to use the ribbon workbench to set display rules or enabled rules. This does not require coding.

This is the download link for the ribbon workbench: http://www.develop1.net/public/rwb/ribbonworkbench.aspx

If you haven't used ribbon workbench, you need to watch this tutorial first:

This tutorial explains in detail how to hide the button.

Can not be done through configuration of the item?

You could use security roles, so take away the "Create record" functionality for that entity, and apply that security role to users you don't want to be able to create.
