Decimal precision in BOM Lines and Costing sheet

Posted on by 75

Dear Team,

The scenario is out of 3600 Kgs of compounded Latex you can produce 2.25 Million condoms

For One condom, the compounded latex comes to .0016 because averagely a condom weighs 1.6 grams

When I define this in BOM, while running costing version, it is not picking up .0016 because it picks only two decimals

How this can be solved

If I use formulas, then the precision would be higher

But costing version run, is picking only 2 decimals from BOM Line

Any way to solve this

Thanks

Vivek

RE: Decimal precision in BOM Lines and Costing sheet

For small quanities in BOM line you can use fileds "quantiy" and "per series", e.g. "quantiy = 1,6 " (grams) and "per series =1.000" to get small values of consumption to the BOM line.

For small prices general (your other post) you can use "price quanitity" to handle small prices in a convenient way (sales, purschase, costing). "Price Quantity" is used to shift the decimal separator to left to get more decimals, also in calculations

    Hope this helps.
