Starting Over on Fixed Assets

Hello:

Aren't there scripts that can be run to eliminate fixed assets master data, along with associated transactions, if you want to start over with the fixed assets module?

We're trying the alternative, which is to retire all assets.  But, we're getting errors, upon doing so.
