Find Customer Screen bug

Occasionally when we open the 'find customer' window on the POS. All input function stops working. I am unable to click anything or type in the search box. The only way i am able to get around this is to close and re-open RMS. I just recently upgraded our machines to 2.0.2000 from FP1 hoping this would help, but it did not resolve my issue. Any suggestions on this?

POS's are running on POS ready 2009.

try to do a repair install of RMS.  Or you can uninstall and reinstall.

    Ed,

    Thanks for the reply.

I will try this and have our client thoroughly test this and will let you know how it goes.

I have seen this once with a mal-functioning keyboard.  You could trying swapping out the keyboard.

Unfortunately I dont think this is the issue. This is effecting all 3 of our POS's and back office PC's.

Is the default customer search set to lookup or find? This is configured under Store Operations Manager, File, Configuration, Options, Customer options, Always display Find window. Try reversing this setting then close RMS and run a day or so to see if that makes any difference.

Were all customers entered through RMS POS and Manager using the New button or were some records imported into RMS using an import tool?

Have you run a database reindex and check using Store Operations Administrator?

I will be more then happy to give this a try. Unfortunately, since we're coming up on a holiday weekend my client doesnt want us to make any changes till next week. I will update you then. Thanks for the suggestion!

By the way all customers should have been added through the POS or manager using the "New" button.
