Invent Transfer Order relation to Ledger Transaction(s)

Hi,

I am looking to understand how an Inventory Transfer Order (shipped ) is related to the transactions in Inventory Module and Ledger etc.

I checked that some relations are existing based on Voucher Id. So if I am to track say same data that is shown when user click on Transfer Order History > Voucher

and then also looks on to Transaction Origin (records)

Thanks

Regards,

Anoop Tripathi

    Hi,

    Relation:

    InventTrans.InventTransOrigin = InventTransOrigin.RecId

    InventTransOrigin.recId = InventTransPosting.InventTransOrigin

    InventTransPosting.Voucher = generalJournalEntry.SubledgerVoucher

    Yes you also found one part that I had missed.

    Please Add:

    SUBLEDGERVOUCHERGENERALJOURNALENTRY.Voucher

    GENERALJOURNALENTRY.subledgervoucher

    as these also contain voucher references.

    As it would be wrong if i post a reply and mark it as answer :P

    Hello Anoop Tripathi,

    Transfer orders usually do not create ledger vouchers if you just transfer items only within a single site.

    Transfers accross sites should create vouchers.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    The case that I was looking at contained voucher entries related to taxes ( India GST ). In this transfer was done across state.

    Please do clarify as what in your case you mean by "Site".

    In my case there is only one site as such. under this site we have multiple warehouses ( which exists across state) and locations.

    Question: If as per government rules a company must pay some tax if moving goods across state then in such a case there would be ledger transactions.

    Regards,

    Anoop Tripathi

    Hello Anoop Tripathi,

    The Indian localization is quite different from what is available for other countries in the standard application. If you are recording a transfer order for a US/German/... company you often do not get a voucher created if the transfer is within the same inventory site. That's different for India and as you run on an Indian localization, my comment does not apply to your setup.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
