Hi,

A customer just asked a good question which made me dabble abit and couldnt seem to find the connecting to rest of NAV.

In Gen. journal there is a field/row called 'Comment' you can fill this field with a comment of your choice. What is the purpose of this field?
You can't see it after it have been posted in G/L Entry.

I have looked in codeunit 12 - Gen. Jnl.-Post Line and searched for 'Comment', but not once does it appear in the 4300 lines in that codeunit. So is it just thrown out?

    Hi Christopher,

When you type comments and send it for approval, these can be seen by the approver in the "Requests to Approval" page. The comment field can be used to give some info to the approver.
