PO receive - record transfer of ownership date?

Hi All,

When received a product from a vendor, I go and post a product receipt.  I choose the receipt date.  Where do I record the transfer of ownership date?  Will the transfer of ownership date drive the inventory aging date?  Thanks!

Thank you for your response, Narasimha.

Follow your instruction, it looks like I'm creating an inventory journal.  I don't think I need it; because when I post PO invoice, it would post to inventory.  If I post inventory as you've mentioned, I afraid that it would double my inventory value.

Do you have screenshots to share?  Maybe I can see it better.  Thanks so much!

This will only change the Inventory status and not the quantity. Quantity would remain same with different Inventory status. Right now, the Inventory status of the Item you received would be different. Please check under Manage Inventory Tab of the item Master by clicking on transactions.

This is what I have.  Do I need to click on Add under Report formats?  Please advise.  Thanks

Can you please explain "ownership date".

    Hi Prashant,

When the vendor's product has shipped to a certain point and they are no longer liable.
