Default Time on a date/time field

Hello,

We first started on CRM 2011 and moved to 2013. On these versions the default time on a date/time field defaulted to 12:00AM. This worked perfect for us as we could easily see if something said 12:00AM it would designate we did not have a confirmed time yet for that task. We recently updated to 2015 and that behavior has changed. The default is now 8:00AM which is in working hours so we can no longer use it as we did in the past. Is there any way to change this behavior.  I tried testing on my own login changing the user options for timezone back to UTC but still defaults to 8:00AM

  Thanks

     Chris

    Hi Chris,

Head into edit the Date and Time field for that entity and check how the 'Format' field is set.  If it is Date Only, according to MS it should default to 12:00AM.

    See technet.microsoft.com/.../dn946904.aspx for more info.

Those options are only available for update 1 which has not been released for on premise yet.

But we still need it to be both a date and time field. Just not have the default time that comes up 8am

    Hi Fireinc,

You need to modify field behavior Date Only  by modifying field. You can refer below link. Hope this helps
