Difference in Summary Trial Balance report and Detailed trial balance report

Hi,

For one specific Main account ,balance in detailed trial balance report is different from summary trial balance.

I have tried to validate the transactions by retrieving the bank transactions for that specific main account,trial balance transactions,detailed trial balance report and summary trial balance report.

Total Net difference in all the reports are same except in summary trial balance report .

Please advise.

I have encountered this issue way back in early 2012 R1. It was an bug in the system.

Hi,

Please check the available hotfixes on LCS for your system. If it is a known bug then you should be able to find and download a hotfix.

Hi,

You can of course try rebuilding the financial dimension sets. Yet, I doubt that this will help you in this case. Please check LCS and the available Hotfixes for your system version here: fix.lcs.dynamics.com/.../Results;dm=0&v=3_5_7_4_1_16_15&i=2_1_3_4&ct=1_3_5_4_2_6&ft=1_2_3&cu=&pi=&pm=&pc=&rd=&d=&envId=&permission=&x=0&y=0

hello Ludwig,

I have the same problem as pallavi, I have already tried to rebuild balances and apparently there is no change also probe with a solution that is in the LCS, which also recommends rebuilding.

Report Detail Trial Balance:

Report Summary Trial Balance:

What is inside the yellow rectangles soon the report filters and the red rectangle is the closing balance, as you can see the balances are not equal. I would appreciate it if you have any other possible solution for this problem.

Hello Victor,

In your second screenprint, I can actually identify the same balance that is shown in the first report. $1,064,140.00

The difference is that the beginning balance is missing.

That is because the standard reports in AX regularly show you only the data for a single financial period.

Some of them have a parameter to include the beginning balance but not all.

In your case the beginning balance seems to be responsible for the difference identified.
