Leave and absence types - Earning Code

Dear all,

I am bit confused in setting the Leave and absence types, in general area there is a earning code field, I want to know its significance, what is the importance to assign the earning code to leave type here.?

is that have an impact on payroll?

    Hi Afazal,

    I think Earning code field is necessary to generate payroll for the particular leave and absence type.

    It will be referred in the earning code field in All earning statement form when earning statement is generated for the employee.

    But I am not sure on this.
