Running report through menu item with passed parameter/context

Hi, I want to be able to select records on a List Page and from there click on a menu item which runs a report with the selected records on the Grid from the List Page. How should I approach this to retrieve the records that will be passed into the menu item to run the report and be displayed on a new page.

    Hi!

    You should use a menu item with the property "MultiSelect" set to "Yes". Than, you should implement a controller that extends from TradeDocumentReportController.

    You can use as example the class "PurchPackingSlipController / PurchPackingSlipDP".

    Ya that is possible one approach is as following.

    Click on menu, Selected records on grid will be insert in to custom table. and when report run, data provider class read data from custom table and used as parameters in logic.

    Do you know of any sources for that explain what the class is doing or an example somewhere with an explanation? I am kind of new to AX still so analyzing this code from not knowing what some of these things are makes it harder.
