Posted on by 175

I have installed Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 but while creating a new company using GP Utility i am facing below error message

"RapidStart Configuration isn't installed."  (Refer below Screen Shot)2063.2.JPG

Using the link "Download and install RapidStart Services", i have installed the RapidStartServices_GP2013 and eConnect as well but still its showing me the same message displayed above whenever I create a new company.  Refer below Screen Shot of my Control Panel (What i have installed)

Because of this issue i am not able to configure my company. Please let me know if I am missing something? or I need to installed any other software as well?

Thanks,

Geetanjali Agarwal

    Hi,

After log time I logged into my MSGP 2013 and it is showing message that "The evaluation period has ended. You must enter a registration key to use the application".  Please help me to get out of this issue. Also because of this issue navigation links and icons in left pane of the main window are not visible to me.

    Thank you very much.

RE: Issues in installing RapidStart Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities

You can use "Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Deployment.Configurator.RapidStart.exe" this to configure and import that data into GP. The helps file "Configurator.chm" has the steps for configuration and import procedure.

    Anyway all the best.

    Thanks for the response...

I am able to configure my company using "Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Deployment.Configurator.RapidStart.exe" but could not be able to import that in GP. So now i am directly using GP to configure my company.

    Thanks for your help.. :)

RE: Issues in installing RapidStart Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities

I have created the same scenario in my system and facing the same error mentioned by you in the screenshot attached. For this case, I have selected the option "Setup Company Later" and manually open the Rapid Configuration Tool from the RapidStart installation folder and setup a company.

Note: Go to Rapid Start installation folder on your computer and run the application "Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.Deployment.Configurator.RapidStart.exe". To setup/configure a company with following the steps from the helps file "Configurator.chm" from same location. Now everything is fine. But, I have wondering why we couldn't access the configuration tool from the GP utility.

    Have a nice configuration day!

Sorry, I have pasted the link for GP 10 above. Please download the RapidStartServices.exe and RapidStartServicesGP.pdf for 2013 from below link and install with following the RapidStartServices.PDF.

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=4071

Note: After clicking download button from above link mark only the options RapidStartServices.exe and RapidStartServicesGP.pdf then click next to download.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Thanks for the response

As suggested, I have uninstalled both RapidStartServices.exe and RapidImplementationTool_GP2010 and then re-install the RapidStartServices.exe using following link

    www.microsoft.com/.../confirmation.aspx

but its throwing an error message "Rapid Implementation Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 do not support 64 bit"

Please suggest what should I do now ?

RE: Issues in installing RapidStart Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities

Yes. you are correct. This tool will support 32 and 64 bit OS. Correction to my above suggestions, you have installed the RapidStart Services(32 bit) is different than the GP(Dexterity shared component on your fist attached screenshots shows 64-bit). Please check this and additionally  the latest version of RapidStartServices.exe include the configuration and migration tool. So, no need to install configuration and migration tool. Please uninstall RapidImplementationTool_GP2010 and check processors versions(32 or 64 bit).

Or uninstall the both RapidStartServices.exe and RapidImplementationTool_GP2010 and then re-install the RapidStartServices.exe with following the RapidStartServicesGP.PDF from below download link.

    Hope this helps!!!

RE: Issues in installing RapidStart Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities

But on the download site it is mentioned that RapidStartServices_GP2013.exe supports both 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems and i was able to install it successfully.

My issue is when I install RapidImplementationTool_GP2010, its throwing an error stating that eConnect is not installed. To resolve this issue I have installed eConnect for both GP 2010 and GP 2013 but still it is prompting the same error message 'eConnect is not installed'

What should I do to resolve this issue ? Do I need a Windows Server 2012 for the same ??

RE: Issues in installing RapidStart Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilities

I guess you have installed the 32-bit RapidStartService. But your environment is 64-bit operation system.

After had a long search I have found the below reason for your issue.

Rapid Implementation/Configuration Tools are not supported on 64-bit versions of Windows.

    Hope this helps!!!
