Blocking on Journal Name

Iam trying want to restrict Journal name through blocking field but not working. for this i have create one group on system admin module and also assign user in same group. the same group attache to blocking field in journal name master but when the same user creating General journal entry he was able to view all the journals in drop down list.

Pls Help

yes when user drop down he was able to view all journals

It will not block the journal name to use for other user or user group. I will just hide those journals from other user doesn't belong to that group as Guy said.

I think customised role will help you in this.

it can be done with journal name blocking function, or record level security - See more at:

The functionality allows you to say that only users in this user group have access to this journal. Any journals which do not have a user group set against them can be seen by anyone.
