New install won't allow Client IE connection: Firewall problem on server?

Client browser cannot connect to CRM server. If the CRM server on Windows Server 2012 R2 has the domain firewall turned off then I can connect. What firewall settings do I need to enable to allow client connectivity?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Martin

    Hi Brad,

Thank you for your assistance. I added one inbound firewall setting on the CRM Server (which is the domain controller) , TCP port 5555. The client pc's (Win 10 and Win 7), both make the initial connection, however they both ask for windows logon name and password. I must answer 3 security prompts before the connection is made.

Also when it loads the start page it errors in the 'Sales Activity Social Dashboard' with 'You do not have sufficient privileges to view this chart. Contact your system administrator'. I have experienced this before when installing CRM 2011 but I can't remember what a Microsoft engineer did to fix it.

    Hi Martin

Re the 3 security prompts, make sure you add your site to Local Intranet in IE and that "Automatic login only in Intranet zone" is checked in Security Settings.

The dashboard error sounds like a Security Role issue rather than a firewall issue. As a test I would check with a System Administrator user and see if you get the same message.

    Cheers

    Brad
