I just installed dynamics 365 finance and operations on premise, I realized I can't connect to financial reporter, user does not have enough permissions .

i checked the [FinancialReporting].[Reporting].[SecurityUser] in the financial reporting database and i realized there is only one user with the username Financial reporting.

The issue is when I try to connect to financial reporter, I get this error connection attempt failed, the user does not have appropriate permission to connect to the server.

So i checked the [FinancialReporting].[Reporting].[SecurityUser] table in the financial reporting database and I realized there is only one user with the username Financial reporting.

What security roles does the user have?

The user should have one of these roles to be able to maintain financial reports: Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Financial Controller, Budget Manager
