Hi all,

Getting the below error while trying to acces "Shared Category" Menu item from Project Management Module,

You are not authorized to access table "Shared expense subcategory" TrvSharedSubCategory. Contact your system administrator.

Even having the admin role.

Please advice us, do we need to create any Preveliges for this.

In my test environment, the menu item is accessible when I am assigned to the System Administrator role.

Please confirm that you can access the menu item with the system administrator role assigned to your user, if you cannot, it is not a security issue but some other issue in your environment.

The standard "Project supervisor" security role can also maintain the shared categories, so you can look at that for reference.

If you have created a custom security role and the access does not work with that specific role assigned, you need grant access to the table mentioned in your error message.

Do you have "Expense management" configuration enabled under License configuration (Navigation :System administration > Setup > License configuration)?

Hi Gunjan,

"Expense management" is not enabled, getting the below message while trying to enable this.

"This form is read-only unless the system is in the maintenance mode. Maintenance mode can be enabled in this environment by running maintenance job from LCS, or using Deployment.Setup tool locally",

How to make this enable?

please let us know.

I am having Admin role.

Please check this documentation on how you can move your instance to maintenance mode to enable the configuration.

If we are able to enable "Expense management' , then "Shared Category" will be accessible, am i correct.

or do we need to perform anything else also, because we are unable to access Shared Category in any environment.

Hi Akbar,

That should be it. The table TrvSharedSubCategory has this configuration key set. Enabling this configuration should resolve your issue.

There is no "Enable Maintenance Mode" option available in DEV environmnet details page, and the the same message while trying to enable this option.

How can we enable this in DEV.
