guids between environments?

Hello, when I export a solution from 1 crm environment and import it into another, are there certain scenarios where the exact same guid is copied from 1 environment to another? Are there certain scenarios where this always the case, are there certain scenarios where this is never the case, or is this scenario sometimes the case but never guaranteed?

Thanks Guido. I just validated in my own implementation that w/f id's *do* in fact get copied between environments. It would be great if we could find a definitive list of all CRM objects that have this behavior. That would be really helpful/useful.

I believe entities also copy over the GUID's as I ran into a situation where entities were created manually in two environments, and then when trying to import a solution with them in it, the import failed stating the entities were already created in a different environment.

I've not seen a definitive list - but as far as I know, if the item is included in a solution then it will retain it's GUID apart from the security roles created for each business unit (although the top level security role does retain it's guid)

The one to watch out for is the entity type code for entities- since this can be different between environments.
