RM: Marketing form submission Trigger is not raised

I'm not able to start a journey with the "Marketing form submission" trigger within RT marketing. Can someone please verify if I take the right steps?

  • Marketing Form -> Both Lead en Contact are created
  • RM Trigger -> "Marketing form submission", based on Lead
  • RM Journey -> Sending e-amil to lead

However, the trigger seems not te be raised...

Thanks in advance,
Elowy.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Slowytech

I think it really depends on how you have set up your trigger. Are you able to share a screenshot of how that is set up? And is it a custom trigger that requires no code, or one that uses Power Automate to run it and add someone to your journey?

    Hi Megan,

I try to use the default (included) marketing trigger "Marketing form submitted" to start my journey:

    What I also tried/checked :

    • The Marketing form submissions can be found on the marketing form record. So they are received and stored
    • When I use the marketing trigger Lead Created or Contact created, the journeys work fine
    • Creating a journey with a 'custom' trigger that starts from a new record in the Dataverse table  msdyncrm_marketingformsubmissions doesn't work either...

    Many thanks for your help!

    Kind regards,
    Elowy.

    Hi again Slowytech

So, that trigger is linked specifically to the new real-time marketing forms which are in preview. Is that what you are using?

When you look at these out of the box ones, this is what they look like, but if you add the unique name column to the view, you can see that the one called Marketing Form Submitted has the name of msdynkmkt_realtimemarketingformsubmitted.

Then if you click on it, for some reason that is the only way you see that it is actually for a Realtime Marketing Form.

Can you confirm if you want to do it for a Real-time Marketing Form (still in preview) or for an original Outbound Marketing Form?

    Hi GrootCRM,

In fact, not so long ago, there was still this kind of trigger in the figure below:

Please create the latest RTM form:

    Many thanks Haig and Megan!

Indeed it was that simple; there are two triggers and one f them is for outbound marketing forms.

    Kind regards,
    Elowy.

Hi Slowytech - sorry for the delay on following up on this. Just one thing to note based on feedback given in this thread, the RTM forms are still in preview so I wouldn't suggest using them just yet. They also function quite differently to the standard/classic OBM forms, so use with caution at this point!
