326 EDC Validation error only on certain user

I have two new identical Win7 x64 machines running RMS 2.0 getting ready to replace two older XP machines. Both computers are Windows SBS2008 domain clients.  I receive the 326 error with the user "reception" logged on when running a credit card transaction, and the transaction fails.  Works OK with the domain admin logged on to the computer though...

I have granted full permissions for user "reception" to the C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Retail Management System folder, and HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Retail Management System. I have checked that the station is configured for EDC correctly, and the domain admin has no issues running a CC transaction, so I assume the computer is configured correctly. I even added "reception" to the local administrator group, but I continue to receive error 326 only when "reception" is logged onto the computer.

I have checked tender types, and similar RMS settings,  but feel that the problem is with Windows user permissions versus Store Ops permissions. The second computer is running OK for the "reception" user.

What am I missing here?

    Update: Reinstalling the RMS software did NOT solve the problem. It reoccurred after the user logged in the next day. The user was a local admin, and had full permissions to files and registry areas. EDC would not process for the thisuser - only the domain admin user.

    I ended up deleting the user's profile from the computer, and recreated it which corrected the problem. Must have been a corrupt user profile. Anyway, the user is able to process EDC transactions now.

    I had tried making the user a local admin, and granted full permissions to the registry key, but none of those worked.

    I ended up uninstalling all RMS and OPOS software, rebooting, then reinstalled everything back. Seems OK now.

    The easy way to fix this is to give the user local admin rights to the computer.  

    If you cant do that, make sure they have full permissions to both the rms directory and the RMS registry keys and sub keys.
