How to add field values from another entity into Email Template

I have created one email template and template type is "Order".

Inside that template I need some fields from Order entity(which is working) and some from Opportunity entity.

But when I click on "Insert" there is no opportunity entity in the list.

How can I accomplish this?

I tried this but doesn't work:

    Email Templates are supported for some records only. You can't add value from other entities in template. You have to use Global Template or entity template

    Thanks for your reply. But if I create global template, will I be able to add Order entity object as a regarding object?

    NO you can't. that's limitation in global template. you can only use user entities.

    I tried using global template. Account entity data is getting retrieved but not for any other entity. Tried Custom entity also.

    Added these two fields:

    {!Opportunity:Topic;No Name found}{!Compliance:Customer Status;No Name found}

    return No Name found always.

    Does anyone have any updated answers for this?  We are trying to use opportunity fields in email templates and they always return blank, with other entities like Leads are working.  Does anyone have any advice or know of some configuration to get Opportunity fields to work in global email templates?

    This is the exact procedure we are following, and have we success with other entities following this procedure as well.  We know the formatting is correct since it turns yellow once we save it.  But when an email is sent, and the template selected, the data fields are blank for every field from the Opportunity entity.
