Business Analyzer - application shuts down

(0) ShareShare

I am running GP 2013 (SP2 .1538) and installed Business Analyzer.  I was able to install it and get through the configuration window, but when the application opens it immediately shuts down. The very first launch of the program I received a message that said the report could not be rendered, but each subsequent time I open I can't even get that far as it shuts down immediately.

I have checked the following:

1.) I have deployed Reporting Services & Excel reports in GP 2013 Reporting Tools setup window.  It is native mode and I did not specify a folder.

2.) I can access the Report Manager url and have access and can run all of the RS reports

3.) I can access the Configuration Report on the report server url

4.) Verified the Business Analzer config file has the correct path

5.) I cannot find any log files to check

What else do I look for?

    Liz,

Do you see anything in the Event Viewer?

    Thanks

    Rob

Shoot, that's not very helpful.  Could you also please check a couple other places for log files?  These are examples of where I've seen them on the following operating systems.

    Windows 7 Client:  C:\Users\<USERID>\AppData\Local\Temp\BusinessAnaylizerTrace.log

    Windows 2003 Server:  C:\Documents and Settings\<USERID>\Local Settings\Application Data\Temp\BusinessAnaylizerTrace.log

    Thanks

    Rob

On Windows 7.  No trace.log files found.

You could also try searching for BusinessAnalyzerTrace.log if you haven't already.  If you can't find that file or any other clues, reinstalling or calling support would be the last resort.

    Thanks

I did try that.  I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that I have 2 GP 2013 installs and 2 instances of SQL.  When I deployed the reports in each of the GP installs I left the 'Enter the sub-folder' field blank in both.  Where do those reports get deployed to?  Are there .rdl's somwhere? I can't seem to find them.

    Hi Liz

I was wondering if you were ever able to get this fixed?  We had no issues with BA for GP 2013.  We upgraded to GP 2015 R2 and when I try and run BA I get the same problem you did with GP 2013.  That Kernelbase.dll error.  Haven't found a way to fix it yet so just wondering if you ever got it to work.

    Thanks!

No.  I'm sorry we never did get it resolved on our test server
