Sort order of posting journals and edit lists changed from 10.0

I've been told that the sort order of the posting journals for various things changed with GP2010 from 10.0 (or maybe 2013)?  I upgraded a client to 2013 and they are not happy about the default sort order of the posting journals, they say they changed, and are no longer showing in the order they entered their data.  Unfortunately, i don't have the old 10.0 system to test in any more since they took 3 months after the upgrade to tell us that and their IT department already decommissioned their old server.  

I saw this article here about how you could modify the order on the GL posting journal:

Would this same concept apply to checkbook posting journal or the PM Transaction posting journal?

Does anyone know what fields we would sort by to make it show in the order the checks were selected in the print checks window, and what order the payables transactions were keyed in AP?

    The concept mentioned from the above KB article is same for the reports(checkbook posting journal and PM Transaction posting journal). But, you need to decide the sorting options and table relationship for the sort order.

    The sorting order for the PM posting journal is "Document Type" and "Voucher Number" and the key order also same( "Document Type" and "Voucher Number") for AP transactions.

    Thank you for your quick response Soma.  Is there a way to know the default sort orders?  They do not show when you go to modify the report in RW.

    Open the reports in Report Writer then go to Tools-->Section Options to see fields under the Report Header Section. The report will prints based on the fields included in this section.

    Correction to my first suggestion. I have checked the PM posting journal reports in both GP 10 and GP 2013. The sorting order used for this report in both version is "Batch Number" and "Voucher Number". No changes made this report in new version of GP 2013.

    May be the report has been modified in the earlier version of GP 10 in user environment. Please verify this report in your client GP 10 machine.
