Dynamics CRM for Outlook over SSL connection

Hello,

I have installed Dynamics CRM on a Windows 2012 R2 Server, Outlook plugin on a client computer and once was able to connect Outlook to CRM server. I got my CRM related tasks in Outlook and so CRM's new controls in Outlook

Next, I wanted to add IFD (following  http://www.interactivewebs.com/blog/index.php/crm-2013/crm-2013-ifd-setup-with-adfs-3-0-on-windows-2012-r2-hosted-setup/ ) and binding type to HTTPS

Now, when I am trying to get Outlook connected to the same CRM server it tells me "We can't connect to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server. Please inform your system administrator that trusted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates are required."

I have looked at bindings of CRM web site, exported certificate used for SSL connection, installed it on client machine, rebooted (I know it is not needed), verified that client's web browser can connect to CRM over SSL without certificate related error, etc. What else should I check?

Thank you!

    You can find tracefiles here

    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM\Traces

    Hello,

See if this will fix the issue.

    - Turn on cached-exchange mode in outlook for the profile configured with CRM Outlook client.

    Thank you Manoj,

Do I understand correctly that I must have Exchange mail account?

I am currently using a different mail server software

    Hello Michael,

Yeah, Turn on cached-exchange mode in outlook may work with Exchange server only. You can try enabling the check box in account settings to connect the mail server software you are using.

    Thank you Manoj,

It looks like the problem now goes out of the scope of CRM forum - I don't even have such check box in my current account settings and I need first to find out if it is at all possible to have my mail server (hMailServer) working "in Exchange mode"
